캠프 험프리스(CAMP HUMPHREYS)는 “미 육군성은 미 육군 험프리스 수비대/기지와 평택시가 2019년 미 육군 지역사회 우호 협력상에 전세계 10개 수상기관 가운데 하나로 선정·발표했다”고 11월19일 밝혔다.

CAMP HUMPHREYS–Department of the Army recently announced that U.S. Army Garrison Humphreys and the city of Pyeongtaek will be one of 10 communities worldwide honored with the 2019 Army Community Partnership Award.   

이 상은 미 육군 험프리스 수비대/기지와 평택시의 뛰어난 우호관계와 다양한 협력사업에 우수성을 인정한 것이다. 

This award recognizes Humphreys Garrison and the Pyeongtaek community’s partnerships, for their outstanding cooperation and their various collaborative projects. 
 
미 육군 험프리스 수비대/기지와 평택시는 국제교류재단을 통한 각종 문화 교류활동을 실시하고, 월간 공동실무회의를 통해 평택시로의 주한미군 기지 이전에 관련된 각종 현안들을 해결했다.

USAG Humphreys and the city of Pyeongtaek were recognized for conducting various cultural exchange activities, through the Pyeongtaek International Exchange Foundation, and resolving various issues related to the USFK relocation project to Pyeongtaek, by having a monthly joint working group meeting.

또한 평택대·호서대·남서울대와 업무협약을 통해 지역 대학생들이 부대에서 6개월간 근무하며 미국 문화와 실무를 경험할 수 있는 인턴십 프로그램을 제공하고 있다.

Also the USAG Humphreys College Internship Program, with Pyeongtaek· Hoseo·and Namseoul universities, provides opportunities for local students to work in USAG Humphreys for six months and allows them to experience American culture and professional work.

시상식은 12월5일 미 국방부 명예의 전당에서 거행된다.

미 육군 험프리스 수비대/기지 사령관, 마이클 트렘블레이 대령과 이종호 평택시 부시장이 공동수상할 예정이다.

The award ceremony will be held Dec. 5, at the Pentagon.

A delegation, led by USAG Humphreys Commander Col. Michael F. Tremblay and Vice Mayor of Pyeongtaek, Jong Ho Lee, will accept the award.
